The Lambing Shed Farm Shop is looking for an enthusiastic new member to join their award winning and fast paced team.

Roles and responsibilities -

• Overall responsibility for management of our in-house deli and cheese counter.
• Provide excellent customer service skills and can go that extra mile for our customers, a great smile is key!
• Develop a seasonal, innovative product range.
• Keep up to date and react to current trends in the market.
• Use sales skills and display techniques to enhance and get the most from each product within the department.
• Have strong awareness of and adhere to Food Safety and Health & Safety in the workplace.
• Be aware of stock rotation where short life products are a priority to ensure minimal stock loss is incurred and at the same time, managing maximum availability to enable the store and the department to grow sales and achieve targets.
• Confidence in managing people and situations where decisions need to be made with their own initiative.
• Ability to communicate with colleagues and management of all levels to help sustain and grow the business. Also, be able to know when to ask for support or direction when the need arises.
• Confidence in dealing with outside companies for ordering and purchasing stock.
• Working closely with the wider team to ensure stock levels of own produced items are managed and to ensure cross-promotion to maximise sales.
• Candidates must be flexible in terms of availability and would be required to work weekend shifts as well as weekday shifts.

Previous experience in a deli or shop environment required.

Salary dependent on experience, good rates of pay for right person!
