Kitchen Porter - Day Time Hours
Kitchen Porter required for Farm Shop Cafe in Knutsford Cheshire.
We are a Farm Shop and Cafe, opened at the end of 2015, using all fresh local produce.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and reliable to join our very friendly team.
Progression within the company is available if wanted.
We are looking for someone who can work -
- 2 days a week
- May include some weekend shifts
- Day-time shifts only, hours between 10am and 5.30pm
Generous tip share as well as hourly pay.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 14 per week
Salary: £7.49-£10.42 per hour

Butcher
We are looking for a hard-working individual who really cares about customer experience, is genuinely interested in others, finds it easy to develop conversations with new people and enjoys working within a team. The role would be ideal for someone who shares our passion for food and local produce and works well in a fast moving, busy environment!
The right candidate must be a qualified, experienced and knowledgeable butcher. You must have -
- Experience in boning, tying, grinding, mincing, cutting and trimming meats.
- High levels of customer service.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Good knowledge of food safety and the ability to maintain good practices.
In return you will be working with the finest quality meat, much of which is home-reared on our working farm (we rear our own cattle, sheep and now pigs).
As well as providing a family type environment to work in, we offer competitive rates of pay and discount in our shop.
Salary/hourly rate dependent on experience.

Marketing Executive
Exciting opportunity that would suit an individual with a positive attitude looking to be part of a passionate and creative team. As part of this family run business, you will play a pivotal role in the growth of the company through the creation and delivery of all social media content as well as being the main business marketing lead. You will work closely with the managing director and heads of departments to create engaging and fresh content for our social media channels on a daily basis.
We are looking for someone who can bring creativity and innovation to the role, try new ideas and push boundaries. As the marketing lead you will play a key role in maximising the existing profitability of the business by positively impacting footfall and ATV, as well as being central in marketing new elements of the business as it grows. You will be joining the team at exciting stage of development, with big plans for future growth.
As recent winners of the ‘UK’s Best Farm Shop Cafe/Restaurant’ and the ‘North West’s Farm Shop of the Year’, at The Lambing Shed we are extremely passionate about fresh local produce. Within our Farm Shop we have an onsite Butchery, Delicatessen, and production kitchen, adjacent to an 80-seater Café, all situated on our working farm here in rural Knutsford. 7 years into our journey we are going into a phase of huge growth and development which will see the company double in size and need someone who shares our passion for food and produce to help grow our business further.
Responsibilities –
- Creating and scheduling high quality, engaging, on-brand, daily content for a variety of social channels, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube & Pinterest (Knowledge & experience of social photography & videography, and the use of Canva).
- Own the social content calendar and publish content to schedule across our social media channels, ensuring content is relevant and creative (to include seasonal photoshoots during peak times).
- Producing valuable and engaging content for our website, via Shopify platform, including blogs posts, as well as aiding in the growth of e-commerce alongside managing director and department heads.
- Email marketing our existing database, using Mailchimp. Sending out monthly newsletters to subscribers with valuable engaging on-brand content, to help increase customer footfall in store, as well as promotion emails to loyalty members.
- Scheduling and creating regular Facebook Ads and managing daily/monthly social spends in line with budget.
- Engaging with customers and responding to messages on social channels in a timely and appropriate manner, monitoring and responding to TripAdvisor / Google reviews, to increase customer retention, and feeding back to in-store team.
- Collaborating with the wider team on site to ensure that all social media and online content is supported and delivered effectively on the floor.
- Organising and promoting seasonal events throughout the year, both those run in-house and collaborating on events held on site by third party event holders.
- Collaborating and building relationships with media organisations and advertising agencies to promote the business.
- Analysing key performance data to evaluate the success of marketing efforts and come up with new ideas to improve brand marketing and exposure.
- Monitoring competitor/industry activity to identify learnings & apply recommendations to ensure our social media content remains current.
Abilities & Strengths -
- Strong marketing experience.
- In-depth experience and strong working knowledge of the key social platforms, including, Instagram, Facebook, Meta, Twitter.
- Passion for food & local produce is a must!
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with Heads of Department.
- Photography Skills - have experience creating engaging visual content for social media, with social video & photography skills, experience using Photoshop may also be beneficial.
- Working knowledge of Shopify and Mailchimp.
- Previous experience with Canva or other online design tools.
